Hi there! We’re a rapidly growing organisation based in the beachside town of Redcliffe, Queensland, and we exist for one reason - to increase the prosperity of the Moreton Bay.

Our award-winning marketing team is tasked with some pretty cool (and important) things that make a genuine contribution to the businesses and locals of the Moreton Bay.

We’re kept busy by:

  • Promoting our slice of paradise to the world through strategic destination marketing and promotional campaigns
  • Marketing our annual calendar of 30+ tourism, community and business events and festivals
  • Positioning our region as Queensland’s most enviable place to live, work and play
  • Delivering effective marketing campaigns and initiatives that fosters and inspires community pride, confidence and local advocacy
  • Developing and managing our corporate brand and partnership program


We’re looking for a passionate marketing all-rounder to join and support Marketing team.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in promoting our extensive calendar of events to the local community as well as intrastate and interstate visitors.

Here’s just a few things that will fall on your to-do list:

  • Assist with the implementation of the marketing and communications strategy.
  • Assist with the collation of data for the monthly activity reports.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing an annual calendar of community and destination events.
  • Develop functional relationships and facilitate effective communication with management, co-workers, stakeholders and clients or any person or group necessary to carry out the functions and responsibilities successfully.
  • Support the development and management of the region’s destination brand, ensuring it is fit for purpose and aligned with the vision and direction of the region.
  • Develop regular media releases for distribution to media outlets.
  • Unleash your creative writing flair with original blog content, including itinerary creation and SEO, to deliver effective content strategies.
  • Produce and support growth strategies for engaging, effective and visually appealing EDM’s and social media content to drive traffic to website.
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including paid social media and display advertising, and measure and report performance and assess against goals.
  • Identify and implement ways to improve tasks and/or activities within this role; contribute to ongoing review, development and implementation of changes to improve MBRIT’s productivity and efficiency; and actively participate in team meetings to discuss and monitor workflows, deadlines and deliverables.


We’re looking for someone who is highly creative, loves marketing and has a natural tenancy to think outside the box.

You’re social media savvy, enjoy writing and love to create beautiful work and innovative marketing strategies you’re proud of.


  • Tertiary or relevant studies undertaken within marketing or communications or related discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role with a focus on marketing or social media, preferably within the tourism industry (but not essential)
  • Social media savvy and proactive in nature keeping up to date with the next emerging trend
  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, social media analytics and Google analytics
  • Outstanding copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management, and the ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion
  • Hands-on, comfortable rolling up your sleeves, with an ability to adapt quickly to situations

Event Volunteer Roles

MBRIT delivers over 20 events in the Moreton Bay Region, all with such different flare and entertainment. MBRIT’S event calendar is so diverse that they deliver just about every event you could think of, ranging from Motor Shows and Kids Festivals to Fun Runs and Kite Festivals. The Events Team are always happy to hear from people interested in volunteering, giving them the ability to share their passion with likeminded individuals.

Visitor Centre Volunteer Roles

With over 80,000 visitor enquiries each year at our 8 accredited visitor information centres, we are always looking for extra help.

MBRIT is currently recruiting for tourism volunteers to staff the visitor centres located at Bribie, Clontarf, Caboolture, Redcliffe, Samford, Strathpine, Woodford and the Caboolture Historical Village.

The centres are open daily from 9am – 4pm. If you have a good understanding of local knowledge and are passionate about our region then this might be the right role for you. We have also added the mobile visitor information centre to the network and this centre will be located at festival and events.

The Volunteer role requires the successful applicants to have exceptional customer service skills, a great personality and basic computer and phone skills. All volunteers will be required to hold a blue card and onsite training is provided.

As a valuable member of the tourism team, volunteers will be recognised for their commitment and involvement in the volunteer program through the annual volunteer function as well as industry tours and special events.
