We’re looking for a design extraordinaire and all-rounder graphic designer to join our world-class events and marketing team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you'll primarily focus on delivering some seriously cool branding and design for our extensive events program, but you’ll also get your hands dirty working on a wide variety of marketing and design projects across the entire organisation.

No two days will ever be the same and we promise you’ll never get bored. Here are just a few things that will fall on your to-do list:

  • Create, manage, and update the design and branding for our organisation's extensive events portfolio
  • Create branded templates and digital adverts for email marketing campaigns on Mailchimp
  • Create engaging content for various digital social media platforms such as websites, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, this could include – motion stories and basic animation, editing images in Photoshop/Lightroom, Instagram highlight covers, branded stories, GIFs, and stickers
  • Design concepts for branded merchandise, posters, flyers, billboards, brochures, banners, and signage
  • Support other in-house designers (when necessary), which could include rolling up your sleeve and designing pages for a newspaper, adverts for advertisers, destination marketing campaigns, and corporate prospectus' and presentations

Event Volunteer Roles

MBRIT delivers over 20 events in the Moreton Bay Region, all with such different flare and entertainment. MBRIT’S event calendar is so diverse that they deliver just about every event you could think of, ranging from Motor Shows and Kids Festivals to Fun Runs and Kite Festivals. The Events Team are always happy to hear from people interested in volunteering, giving them the ability to share their passion with likeminded individuals.

There are so many roles you can get involved with, whether it be office admin or site bump in, the team will always appreciate your time and efforts in supporting the delivery of an event.

Visitor Centre Volunteer Roles

With over 80,000 visitor enquiries each year at our 8 accredited visitor information centres, we are always looking for extra help.

MBRIT is currently recruiting for tourism volunteers to staff the visitor centres located at Bribie, Clontarf, Caboolture, Redcliffe, Samford, Strathpine, Woodford and the Caboolture Historical Village.

The centres are open daily from 9am – 4pm. If you have a good understanding of local knowledge and are passionate about our region then this might be the right role for you. We have also added the mobile visitor information centre to the network and this centre will be located at festival and events.

The Volunteer role requires the successful applicants to have exceptional customer service skills, a great personality and basic computer and phone skills. All volunteers will be required to hold a blue card and onsite training is provided.

As a valuable member of the tourism team, volunteers will be recognised for their commitment and involvement in the volunteer program through the annual volunteer function as well as industry tours and special events.
