MBRIT delivers over 20 events in the Moreton Bay Region, all with such different flare and entertainment. MBRIT’S event calendar is so diverse that they deliver just about every event you could think of, ranging from Motor Shows and Kids Festivals to Fun Runs and Kite Festivals. The Events Team are always happy to hear from people interested in volunteering, giving them the ability to share their passion with likeminded individuals.

There are so many roles you can get involved with, whether it be office admin or site bump in, the team will always appreciate your time and efforts in supporting the delivery of an event.

Events Delivery Coordinator

This Events Coordinator position, reporting to the Manager of Events Delivery, is an ideal opportunity to work as a part of this successful team of six, that design and deliver a calendar of flagship community, tourism and business events throughout the year.

We are looking for a creative operator with sound events delivery experience and a passion for staging events; someone who enjoys developing and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally, who pays attention to detail and who takes pride in ensuring that events are delivered on time and on budget.

Visitor Centre Volunteer Roles

With over 80,000 visitor enquiries each year at our 8 accredited visitor information centres, we are always looking for extra help.

MBRIT is currently recruiting for tourism volunteers to staff the visitor centres located at Bribe, Clontarf, Caboolture, Redcliffe, Samford, Strathpine, Woodford and the Caboolture Historical Village.

The centres are open daily from 9am – 4pm. If you have a good understanding of local knowledge and are passionate about our region then this might be the right role for you. We have also added the mobile visitor information centre to the network and this centre will be located at festival and events.

The Volunteer role requires the successful applicants to have exceptional customer service skills, a great personality and basic computer and phone skills. All volunteers will be required to hold a blue card and onsite training is provided.

As a valuable member of the tourism team, volunteers will be recognised for their commitment and involvement in the volunteer program through the annual volunteer function as well as industry tours and special events.
